Surf Lessons in Tamarindo, Costa Rica offers a wide range of services for the beginner or experienced surfer. We offer high-quality individual surf instruction. We give private lessons to individuals or small groups and schedule all lessons according to tides and ocean conditions.

Surf Instructors

Most of our instructors were at least one time ranked in the top 10 professional surfers in Costa Rica. They grew up surfing in Costa Rica and their expert skills show when you see them surf. They are very patient and dedicated teachers of the surfing arts. If you’re learning to surf, you’ll especially enjoy your time with them and you’ll be up and standing fast. They are all fluent in both English and Spanish and some of them also in French.

PRIVATE SURF LESSONS $80

A private surf lesson is an investment in your safety that pays off in saved time and frustration. Learning one-on-one is the more traditional recommended approach to learning how to surf. We recommend a two-hour lesson. Included in the package is personal coaching, a surfboard and a rashguard.

A GROUP SURF LESSON $45

Our Tamarindo Beach Group Surf Lessons are a great way to bring your family, friends, or team members together and learn the beautiful art of surfing. We’ve accommodated groups as large as 80 surfers. Contact us!
